Adult and Children’s Programs

¡Niños Adelante!  Saturday mornings at 11 AM, Janet Stanley welcomes children ages 3 and up.  Parents and others who can assist are invited.  The program teaches English to children and their families through songs & games. It also provides library memberships and has computers at the library for their use.

Intercambio  at the library every Saturday from 10 AM to Noon.  An excellent way to improve your Spanish, help our Oaxacan friends and neighbors improve their English, and learn more about each other in the process!

Libros Para Pueblos  locates and works with villages in the State of Oaxaca that want a children's library. The community prepares the space and sets up their own system of maintenance and book checkout. Libros Para Pueblos works in an advisory capacity and purchases the books.

¡Jóvenes Adelante!  is an OLL program for local teenagers to learn how to use library resources and computers in their studies, to practice their English, and to socialize with visiting foreign teenagers.

Free Emergency Contact Service.  Complete the contact form with as little or as much information as you feel might be needed in an emergency.  Your form will be kept in a sealed envelope in the OLL safe until (hopefully never) it is needed.  It will only be opened when we are advised of an emergency requiring family or legal contacts.  To download the form, click on: WORD Download  or Adobe PDF Download
