Educational Presentations
As a part of our events schedule, the library offers a series of educational events on the Bertelli Terrace, mainly during the fall and winter months. These events are meant to educate audiences on a range of topics ranging from aspects of local Oaxacan history to niche interests presented by enthusiastic speakers.
Our terrace has limited capacity and events fill up fast so reserve tickets for any events you are interested in as soon as possible. Please only register for events that you actually plan to attend. If you are interested in attending a sold-out event, library visitors are welcome to register for the waiting list at the door about 1 hour before the event begins. This first come, first served list offers any unclaimed spots for our talks to those who are at the library at the time of the lecture.
If you have further questions about our policies regarding events (including refunds and any current Covid-19 restrictions), please visit our policies page.

Intercambios
Intercambios, or language exchange, is a method for English and Spanish speakers to practice their language skills in their non-native language. It's an excellent way to learn more about each other in the process!
In-person (Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.)
Held on the Bertelli Pavilion. Mask use is encouraged but currently not required.
Zoom (Tuesdays from 6 - 8 p.m.)
Email Doug Long at dlong707@gmail.com to receive an email invitation link.

Welcome to Oaxaca
Are you new to Oaxaca and looking to learn more about this wonderful city? Or maybe you've been here for some time and have questions. This free, hour-long question-and-answer session is valuable for tourists, long-term visitors, and those who are considering a move to Oaxaca.
Held weekly on Mondays at 10 a.m., it is open to all.

Crear y Compartir
Held weekly on Tuesdays 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Crear y Compartir (formerly "Stitch n' Bitch") is a weekly needle-arts group formed to give people an opportunity to knit, crochet, embroider, and kibbitz.
Bring your own handiwork, socialize, and trade skills. Many of us make garments for the HatsandScarves Campokids Project, designed to bring warm clothing to children across Oaxaca state. If needed, yarn is provided.

For these groups activities and others—such as Bridge and Mexican Train Dominoes—check the full OLL calendar for dates/times.
