The Wood Carvers of Arrazola Trip B – Thu / 2 Jan 2020 / 11 am to 4:30 pm / Limit 19
Our host will be Sr Angélico Jimenez, the grandson of Manual Jimenez who was the first to introduce the art form to Arrazola. Sr Angélico is an award-winning wood carver himself, who has continued innovating and refining the production of those colorful and whimsical carvings commonly known as alebrijes. The family home and workshop is also a museum with excellent displays showing the evolution of wood carving from the 1950's to the present.
We are splitting our tour group into two segments because the home and workshop cannot accommodate 40 people at one time.
Lunch at Los Higos restaurant. (Note: tour price does not include the $60 peso cost of lunch.)
