About the Hike:  

Hikers intent of getting into the high country can’t do better than explore the trails in the Pueblos Mancomunados. These villages clustered in the Sierra Norte mountains not far from Oaxaca offer miles of scenic trails through the deep woods. This particular outing is of modest dimension, running just 5.3 miles (8.5 kms) through undulating terrain with very little elevation change. As is the case with all hikes in this area, an admission fee must be paid and local guides hired to see visitors safely through the forest. 

Bring a sack lunch to eat on the trail

Time Frame: 8:30 am Parque Llano (parking lot across from the park on Dr Liceaga) / 5:00 pm return to Oaxaca.
