Horarios y Políticas

Nuestra misión, como Asociación Civil sin fines de lucro, es ser una biblioteca viva y un centro cultural al servicio de la comunidad oaxaqueña. Somos una biblioteca de préstamo que ofrece materiales para préstamo a nuestros miembros, junto con acceso in situ al público en general.

 

La OLL cumple su misión proporcionando:  

 

  • Materiales multimedia y bilingües de lectura, educativos y de entretenimiento para todas las edades; 

  • Programas de idiomas para fomentar la alfabetización bilingüe y la competencia intercultural; 

  • Un espacio inclusivo para eventos culturales y sociales que fomenten la solidaridad y el aprecio; y 

  • Colaboración con otras ONG locales para promover el empoderamiento de la comunidad.  

Buscamos inspirar el amor por la lectura y el aprendizaje a través de generaciones y culturas.

Almuerzo y tarifas de la comunidad: Los excursionistas pagan su propio almuerzo y cualquier tarifa adicional que cobre la comunidad. En los últimos años, muchas comunidades han comenzado a cobrar una tarifa a los grupos que ingresan a su área y algunas requieren un guía adicional, especialmente en sitios arqueológicos. Además, a menudo se requieren monedas de 5 y 10 pesos para usar los baños. Por favor, traiga pesos adicionales para cubrir estos gastos.

Departure location and meeting times:

Hike participants will rendezvous on Calle de Los Libres #710, between Zarate and San Martin, directly behind the Grand Fiesta Americana Hotel.
Please arrive at the boarding location at least 15 minutes before the starting time listed for the hike.

Hoofing It Newsletter: When you sign up for a hike, you will be added to the mailing list for upcoming newsletter. When you receive that first mailing, you can update your mailing preferences or unsubscribe.  Another way to learn more about our hikes is to go to the Hoofing it in Oaxaca website.

Lunch and Village fees: Hikers pay for their own lunch and any additional fees charged by a village. In recent years many villages have started charging a fee for groups entering their area and some require an additional guide, particularly in archeological locations. In addition, 5 and 10 peso coins are often required to use toilet facilities. Please bring additional pesos ($500 should be plenty) with you to cover these expenses.
