About the Hike:Of all the villages of the Pueblos Mancomunados, Llano Grande perhaps has the most unique charm, seeming to be a place removed from the normal parameters of space and time. It is a great place to go hiking, or to use a cabin at the ecotourism camp to get away for a few days. Our hike will take us to a picturesque cascada (waterfall) as our destination for the outing. As with all villages in the Puelbos Mancomunados, there will be an admission fee, so do bring some cash and a few coins for the use of sanitrary facilities.

NOTE: We will be at an altitude of 10,000 feet (3,048 meters), which may make breathing difficult for visitors from locations near sea level. The altitude also guarantees chilly temperatures, particularly when there is cloud cover and rain – which is not unusual, even in the dry season. Visitors should come prepared with layered clothing and rain gear, which may be left in the van if the weather is sunny and warm.
