About the Hike:
You will enjoy the drive to and from the Sabinos trailhead as Hwy 135 winds through the Zimatlan valley to the south of Oaxaca. It takes two hours to get to Igriega, but it is a relaxing drive. The Atoyac river will surprise you, as the clear water and lush foliage along the banks are nothing like the polluted, smelly stream that courses through Oaxaca.
Bring a sack lunch to eat on the trail
