About the Hike: A new hike for the OLL, we'll drive to San Miguel Chicahua in the Mixteca region of Oaxaca,and walkfrom there into Apoala, considered the gem of the Mixteca region. An ancient codice tells us that 51 men were born in Apoala. Considering there is always water in the community, it is not surprising that manking would spring from such a rich land. Although the hike is reasonably flat, rock scrambling and stream crossings may be challenging for some hikers. Consider bringing a change of shoes and hiking poles.
