Acerca del evento
Synopsis:
Safe Surgery refers to a set of protocols implemented in hospitals to ensure compliance with patient safety standards before, during, and after surgical procedures.
These protocols are applied worldwide, as most people will undergo one or more surgical procedures at some point in their lives. Their main purpose is to establish a standard of quality, reduce risks, and prevent adverse events, complications, and medical negligence.
This approach was first implemented in the United States with the goal of improving operating room safety and minimizing surgical complications.
During this talk, Dr. Luciano will deliver a presentation highlighting real-life situations that have occurred in the operating room, offering insights and lessons learned to enhance patient safety.
