Presentation:
Beth Sue de Gyvez, an important Muxe activist from Ixtepec, Oaxaca. She will be talking about her work with the Afro-Mexican community, the Muxe
Community, and her work with migrants coming to and from the United States by way of the Istmo de Tehuantepec. Presenters Italis Osario and Frankly Garcia, esteticians and embroidery artists, will talk about art, embroidery, and traditional clothing both within the Muxe community and the region of the Istmo de Tehuantepec.

Presenters:
The main presenter is Beth Sue De Gyvez from Ixtepec on the Isthmus. She is an important Muxe activist in the Isthmus region. She also known for her work with Afro-Mexicanos in the Isthmus. She will talk in Spanish about her work with these two groups as well as her work with migrants coming through Mexico on their way to the USA and returning.
The next presenters are a couple who live in a village south of Oaxaca de Juarez. They are Italia Osario and Frankly Garcia. They both do embroidery, facials, and hair for a living. They will talk about their lives as Muxes and their being a couple. In addition, they will talk about the arts and crafts of their village. They will also be wearing the embroidered dresses that they have created. They may have products for sale that they have made.
