On today’s tour our first stop will be at - a weavers’ cooperative run my single or widowed women. They will be happy to tell you about the history and purpose of the collective; show how they use natural dyes to color the wool; then demonstrate how they weave the yarn to make the final product. Vida Nueva - “A New Life”

From there we will go to , where we will be given a presentation on the process of raising silk worms, harvesting the silk, spinning, dying (natural dyes), and then weaving it. Arte y Seda

Our last stop will be at the Comedor el Jaguar for a discussion and demonstration of the process of making chocolate. 

Option of visiting new cultural center in town. This will add another 45 minutes to the schedule.
