Tour Description:

We’re headed out to a Palenque in Matatlán, where Amanda, owner of Tomonotomo will share with us the “traditional” mezcal making process. From the agave in the fields to the final alcoholic product. The Palenque is one of her collaborators, where she sources her roasted agave from.

You´ll have an opportunity to taste a few traditional mezcals here if you care to.

From here, we head back to Huayapam, first stopping for lunch at a local tlayuda place nearby.

Then off to her distillery, where she works her magic to create the multi award willing non-alcoholic mezcal. You can both taste and purchase

her product at the distillery.

To finish off our learning, we’re invited to Labo Fermento to enjoy a mocktail with Tomonotomo. Sit and sip, after a long day of learning.

Additional Fees:

$400 pesos (tasting and visit to the Palenque and the distillery and one mocktail)

Lunch and any mezcal purchases you might make.

Tomonotomo’s NA mezcal is $450 for a 375ml bottle and $800 for a large.

This tour will depart on time  from Calle Los Libres behind the Grand Fiesta Americana Hotel. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before departure time. Unclaimed seats may be re-sold at boarding time.

If this tour is sold out, you can take a chance that seats may be available and come to the boarding spot 15 minutes before departure. These seats must be paid for in cash.
