Tour Description: Our morning will start with a tour of the archaeological site which includes a tomb, spectacular views of the valley, and a short climb up

to the top of the ridge, featuring another tomb in what was a fortified area of this ancient city.

From Yagul, we will drive to nearby Union Zapata, where we will enjoy the Agrobiodiversity fair. This is one of the very best fairs in Oaxaca. People watch,

grab a snack, take an unreasonable number of pictures of corn, buy a squash, and enjoy immersing yourself in a tradition long forgotten in much of the world. Trading seeds and crop knowledge with 60 other indigenous farmers from your area.

NOTE: Yagul is a somewhat accessible site, though uneven stairs and small hills should be expected. There is little shade in Yagul, bring sunscreen, water and a parasol or hat.

Lunch: We´ll have a later lunch at one of the restaurants roadside. Expect to pay about 250 pesos for food and beverages.

Additional costs: INAPAM and Permanente residents access Yagul at no charge, otherwise entrance is $90. Bring small bills for tipping,

shopping at the fair and snacks.

This tour will depart on time from in front of Calle Los Libres 710 behind the Grand Fiesta Americana Hotel. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before departure time. Unclaimed seats may be re-sold at boarding time.

If this tour is sold out, you can take a chance that seats may be available and come to the boarding spot 15 minutes before departure. These seats must be paid for in cash.
