Presenter: Paula Manuela Cantú Garza

Paula Manuela Cantú Garza is a physician in the process of obtaining her Medical Degree, with academic training and experience in both in-person and remote medical care, medical interpretation, and clinical support.

She completed her Medical Internship at Hospital General “Manuel Gea González” in Mexico City, where she strengthened her clinical

training across multiple hospital departments. Subsequently, through the Federal Health Research Program, she carried out her

Social Service at the Movement and Sleep Disorders Unit under the supervision of Dr. Óscar Arias Carrión. During this time, she participated in the care of patients with movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, as well as in the evaluation of patients with various sleep disorders.

In addition, she has worked as a telephone medical assistant, contributing to the development of patient care and follow-up protocols, and has experience as a medical interpreter (English–Spanish) and virtual medical assistant.

In this talk, she will share her clinical experience and insights into remote medical care, as well as her work with patients with movement and sleep disorders, offering perspective on the challenges and opportunities in modern medical practice.
