Join the Oaxaca Lending Library for a Book & Author Talk with longtime Oaxaca resident Susan Koenig, who presents and reads from her new memoir, Another Nice Girl Gone Wrong. Set against the social upheaval of the 1960s, the book follows a young woman raised to be a "nice girl" as she comes of age in Los Angeles and Berkeley and begins to question the rules she was expected to follow.

Expect an afternoon of candid storytelling about belonging and identity, rebellion and self-discovery, as the author traces one woman's path from obedience to awakening during a decade that reshaped the United States. The talk is part of the Oaxaca Lending Library's ongoing author series, held on the Terrace as the Library marks its 60th anniversary year.

Presenter: Susan Koenig, who writes under the name Susan Irene Asher, is a retired psychotherapist and the author of five books published under her own imprint, Asher Books. Her writing explores belonging and identity, loss and love.
