About the Hike: The hike from Cuajimoloyas to Benito Juárez is the highest, most scenic and most strenuous one in the “Hoofing It In Oaxaca” program. It is also one of our favorites. Both the “Difficult” option along the footpaths through the woods and the more moderate trek on the road linking the villages offer great views of the countryside. Either is a worthy choice for a wonderful day in a magnificent setting. Visitors are asked to dress in earth tones (green, brown and blue) and to avoid other colors, particularly bright ones.
