About the event
About the Hike: El Carrizal is a small community nestled between the central valley and the Sierra Norte mountains/Benito Juarez national forest. Our hike today is in the local forest and takes us along old logging roads and forest paths to a lovely lookout, and then to a small waterfall before climbing back up into the village. You can swim at the pool at the base of the waterfall, but it would be too cold in the winter months.
