About the Hike: El Carrizal is nestled in a small valley between Llano Grande and San Miguel del Valle. Our hike will start in Llano Grande, and we'll walk through the forest on old logging roads to Lake La Neveria, where we'll enjoy our sack lunches and then walk to El Carrizal. The hike is through undulating forest, with achievable summits. The hike features a lovely lookout and a small pool at the base of the waterfall that hikers are welcome to swim in.

Notes: Hikers arriving from sea level should not underestimate the effects that altitude can have on hiking stamina and capacity. This is a point-to-point hike. It will be a cool start: Bring extra layers for the morning and a rain layer, which you can leave on the bus if not needed.
