About the Hike:  This year the newly paved Camino de Juarez trail opened, running 50 kilometers from Guelatao to Oaxaca. The section from El Estudiante to Huayapam is the final part of the route, and utilizes the footpath previously known as the Los Molinos trail, long a favorite for local hikers and mountain bikers. The trail runs parallel to a burbling brook on the side of the valley opposite Hwy 175. The trail runs downhill all the way, so it is an easy excursion.
