About the Hike: Today’s hike begins at the parish church in Santa Ana Zegache, which the renowned painter, Rodolfo Morales,, restored and decorated. After lunch we will visit the cemetery in San Antonino Castillo Velasco, where the local townspeople will be busy decorating the graves of departed family members. They postpone their Day of the Dead vigil to November 3 because they are busy earlier selling the flowers used in other communities to grace their cemeteries.

Day of the Dead special feature!: Families decorate their loved ones' graves with elaborate flower tapestries or sand paintings. People on today’s hike will spend an hour or so visiting the cemetery. Note that this hike is NOT the same event as the Lending Library’s OUT & ABOUT cemetery bus tour.
