About the Hike: This is a NEW hike for the OLL program this year. The hills to the west of the toll road to Mexico City in the northern end of the Valley of Oaxaca near Huitzo offer wonderful opportunity for hikers and mountain bikers to experience the open countryside. There are miles of interconnecting jeep roads and footpaths to explore. This particular hike is a 5.9 mile loop trek. Be advised there is no shade in the area, so come prepared to spend three hours in the full sun.
