About the event

Step into the story of one of Oaxaca's most cherished guest houses. As part of the Oaxaca Lending Library's 60th Anniversary celebration, Jane Saxe Robison shares the history of Casa Colonial — the home and gathering place she has owned and cared for over the past 34 years.

Having welcomed travelers and led more than 100 cultural tours in Oaxaca, Jane offers an intimate look at how Casa Colonial grew into a crossroads of Oaxacan culture and hospitality. She is joined by Isabelle Felder Gillis, who first came to know Casa Colonial as a guest on Jane's tours and is now, with her husband, a resident of Oaxaca. Join us on the Oaxaca Lending Library terrace for an afternoon of history, storytelling, and conversation.
