About the event

Synopsis:

Linda Hanna will relate her story of fifty years of fascination and passion for the indigenous and popular arts of Mexico, how she became an expert in this area, and how it has enhanced her life as an ex-pat living in Mexico.

Bio: Linda Hanna has been a full-time resident of Oaxaca for over 24 years. For 16 years, she operated Casa Linda, a B&B located in her home in San Andres Huayapam. She closed it due to COVID but still is available for folk art tours which she has done for 18 years. Before moving to Oaxaca, she was a weaver in California for 15 years and this is why she is particularly interested in the textile traditions of Oaxaca. This passion culminated in her exhibition, Rosas y Revelaciones, which has been shown so far, in Oaxaca, Mexico City and Cuernavaca.
