About the event

Greenwich Village NY 1956-1972, is an embedded slideshow with music. Ken Ludmer will narrate.

Presenter: 

During 1956-1972, Ken Ludmer had a Thursday evening cable TV show called, Village Neighborhood Television sponsored, by New York University. Ken interviewed local personalities and had discussions with politicians including Mayor Ed Koch and Women's Liberation leader Bella Abzug. He was a former street social worker in NYC's Lower East Side working at the Henry Street Settlement House. He went on to graduate from Columbia University and became a Licensed Family Therapist. At one point, he was the President of the New Jersey Family Therapy Assn. Ludmer taught in the graduate schools of Yeshiva and Columbia Universities. He had a full-time Family Therapy private practice for 45 years before retiring .
