About the event
Synopsis:
An overview of the photographic language, and what choices in making and presenting an image add subjective meaning to what may appear to be a neutral, objective document. We'll then take a dive into how editorial and commercial photography have been used to reflect certain points of view. This talk is inspired by Christopher Anderson's photographs that illustrate the Chris Whipple interview with Susie Wiles, Trump's Chief of Staff, published in the December 16th online issue of Vanity Fair.

Presenter:
Melinda Simon has an MFA in photography and was a lecturer in Fine Art photography and the History of Photography at several universities and art institutes.
