SEX WORK It’s Just a Job is a 56-minute documentary about the struggle to decriminalize sex work through the perspective of people who work or have worked in the sex trades. This intensely honest film brings to light solidarity, strong alliances, and human warmth while raising deep questions about policing and human rights in the United States.
Presenter:

Tami Kashia Gold’s career as a multidisciplinary artist and cultural worker spans four decades. She has been a Film and Media studies professor at Hunter College and made films focused on race, gender, sexual identity, labor, and police brutality which have aired on PBS, HBO and around the world. Her work has screened at over 150 film festivals worldwide, as well been shown at the MOMA, the Whitney, The Chicago Arts Institute, The Kennedy Center, the American and British Film Institutes. The recipient of Rockefeller, Guggenheim and Fulbright Fellowships, Tami serves as a contributing author to several media and educational publications.
