Survey of Mesoamerican Mural Painting from preclassic Maya murals of San Bartolo through the classic period mural paintings of Bonampak and late classic/early postclassic murals of Cacaxtla and Chichen Itza.

John Harvey Williams has a BA from the University of Texas in Art History where he studied with the late, great LINDA SCHIELE as well as RICHARD TOWNSEND and TERRENCE GRIEDER among other world renowned luminaries in the field of Mesoamerican art history. John has continued to study the art of Mesoamerica as well as visit archeological sites throughout Mexico since graduating from the University of Texas in 1978. John is a naturalized Mexican Citizen and completely bilingual and bicultural. He has been living and working in Mexico since 1984, first in Mexico City for 27 years, then in San Miguel for 3 years, and since 2014 in Oaxaca.
