This is a joint tour with Fundación EnVia and is a unique opportunity to spend the day and share traditions with a family in Teotitlan. The family will talk about their altar and the meaning of Dia de los Muertos. Tour participants can add to the altar. (Please bring a small amount of flowers or nuts or apples/oranges or a sugar skull if you can.)

There will be a chocolate demonstration and tasting  and discussion/demonstration of the EnVia entrepeneur’s work. The family will share comida and discussions will continue, followed by playing a traditional game before returning to Oaxaca.

The visit end with visit to the municipal cemetery accompanied by the family.

Fundación En Vía is a non-profit organization that works to empower women to better support themselves and their families.  Funds generated through responsible tourismj (including this tour)  provide interest-free loans and educational programs to entrepreneurial women. On this tour you will learn more about the program and its impact on women, their families, and their communities.

This tour will depart on time at 11:00 am  from Calle Los Libres behind the Grand Fiesta Americana Hotel. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before departure time. Unclaimed seats may be re-sold at boarding time.

Online ticket sales end at 7 pm the day before the tour. If the tour is sold out, you can take a chance that seats may be available and come to the boarding spot 15 minutes before departure. These seats must be paid for in cash.
