Full Event Description:  This is a joint tour with Fundación EnVia and is a unique opportunity to spend the day and share traditions with a family in San Marcos Tlapazola. The visit will begin with visit to the municipal cemetery. The family will then talk about their altar and the meaning of Dia de los Muertos and participants can add to the altar. (Please bring a small amount of flowers or nuts or apples/oranges or a sugar skull if you can.) There will be a chocolate demonstration and tasting , a demonstration of making barro rojo (red clay pottery) The family will share comida and discussions will continue, followed by playing a traditional game before returning to Oaxaca.

No Refunds will be available. If you are not able to attend the event, you are welcome to sell you reservation to others. Please notify the library of change of name for reservation.

Participants are encouraged to attend the Día de los Muertos History and Traditions presentation at the OLL October 30 at 4:30 PM.

Additional Costs:  Pottery will be for sale. Bring cash for these purchases 

This tour will depart on time from the parking lot acros from the south side of Llano Park at 10:45 am. Unclaimed seats may be re-sold at boarding time.

If this tour is sold out, you can take a chance that seats may be available and come to the boarding spot 15 minutes before departure. These seats must be paid for in cash.
