Tour Description: We can never resist planning a day to the Ocotlán de Morelos market when the dates align with Day of the Dead. This area is home to some of the best flower growers of the region, and the flowers used on the Day of the Dead altars are no exception. We'll start with a drive out to see some of the flower fields. The sheer carpet of color is amazing and the smell is captivating. We'll drive into Ocotlán and we will pop into the Municipal building to see the Rudolfo Morales murals, and then over to the community museum to see the Morales collection housed there, and the collages are not to be missed. They also opened an Aguilares Family gallery which is incredible.

We'll then head over to the market for some snacking and some shopping. Flowers, candy sugar skulls, papel picado, candles and bread, oh my, the bread!

Special considerations: Walking shoes and comfortable clothes as well as water and sunscreen are a must on this tour. You will walk up stairs, down into tombs, on uneven surfaces and through crowded markets. Leave your diamonds at home, bring money in small bills in your pocket or over the shoulder bag.

Additional Costs:  $20 pesos entrance fee to museum, snacks and lunch ($150 - $200 pesos)

This tour will depart on time from Calle Los Libres behind the Grand Fiesta Americana Hotel. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before departure time. Unclaimed seats may be re-sold at boarding time.

If this tour is sold out, you can take a chance that seats may be available and come to the boarding spot 15 minutes before departure. These seats must be paid for in cash.
